Computer Graphics - First Semester
This multi-line design was inspired by the wondrous and mysterious galaxies of outer space. The many swirls and lines took quite a while, but was worth it in the end.
I traced La La Land’s movie poster.
One of my inspirations to have a Positive Mental Attitude everyday. Traced with line art and highlighted deatiling in hair and shadowing.
I chose to trace this lonely butterfly because my Aunt Suxy, who passed, is remebered as a butterlfy.
I designed this CRAZY design while listening to CRAZY music.
The stars speak if you know how to listen. The stars speak as you gaze upon the passionate amethyst suffocating the darkness of the night with a mystic sense of security. The stars speak in the sky up above as their twinkling reveals a form of healing you’ve missed; a comfort you thought was lost deep within you. The stars speak to you, and they say that everything will be alright.
I created this because my favorite color is purple and I wanted to use that color in this project.
Using rectangles, I wanted to depict a scene of grass and dirt surrounding a river.
This design is of the doll from the movie Coraline. I am happy that I was able to make it look good.

Composed of various geometrical shapes and a kaleidoscope of colors, this depiction of a traditional sunset was inspired by the Hawaiian Islands.
Our lovable video game character Kirby riding down a rainbow. I used an abstract design for this peice and made colors pop.
I created a fish in the ocean using gradients, lines, fills, reflections, and radial copying in Adobe Illustrator. Each element worked together to create a beautiful ocean scene.
As this being one of my first projects, I wanted to show how beautiful nature is while fitting the criteria of the project. The green and pink colors really added a pop of color.
Amoung Us was popular at the time I made this project and I played it a lot, so I got inspiration from the game.
I used different combinations of letters in my name to create these color schemes.
My name Therese being used as different designs.
For this project I first typed my name with the text tool. Then I made each letter into a shape. Then I changed the font and color and arranged each letter to make a design that fit with each section.
This design is of my name. The letters are jumbled up and there are different color schemes. This design was fun to make.
I wanted to show something that we don’t get to see, a caterpillar turning into a butterfly.
I created this by starting with 1 simple shape and turning it into multiple shapes.
Using a vanishing point line as a template, I created 3D shapes in different areas.
The shiny shapes were incredibly tedious to make, especially the cone. The result was well worth it, however, as it now speaks measures to me about my childhood.
I created this scene of buildings set against a night sky in Illustrator.
Along with the pen tool on Illustrator, this artwork illustrates a pink desert with a variety of shapes.
I created a Nike Outlet using perspective and balance techniques I learned.
I decided to do a modified Justice Building for the project on perspective because it seemed logical and frankly symbolic. The entire project was about following the rules, so why not make it about a place where laws are approved?
I used the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, France to help me create different views: a foreground, middle ground, and background.
For this assignment, I recreated an image using the pen tool and gradient tool.
The lingering scent of tea and mint infuses in the air as London stirs from its slumber; the sun tauntingly stretches shadows into distorted shapes to welcome the start of a new day.
This artpiece was the final project of the first semester. I spent a lot of time copying the shadows and shading of the buildings, and I am really proud of it.
This is an Illustrator image of the first man on Mars accompanied only by his rover. This image was made utilizing different Illustrator techniques such as reflection, rotation, and gradient tools.
This design is based off a picture of my mother’s beautiful hometown in Mexico.
Radial, freeform, geometric, and symmetric shapes make up this design. I loved experimenting with the bold purple colors that draw the viewer’s attention.
I wanted to illustrate the unique buildings and rocky road in Amsterdam. This project took a lot of thinking to decide how I would make the image look three-dimensional.
I created an architectural rendering of a tropical vacation home in Adobe Illustrator using lines, shapes, shadows, and layers to create a vivid scene.
I created this by using everything I had learned in the 1st semester and I turned it into this project. I used this as my final.
This is a rendering of an orginal McDonald’s restaurant design like you can see in Downey, California.
This is an image I traced looking down Main Street at Disneyland. It took a long time and was a lot harder than I expected because of all the details Disney adds, but I like how it turned out!
This angle of the Eiffel Tower captures every inch of its beauty but what I love most about the graphic is the way the tower “glows” at night. It was a challenge to figure out how to make the Eiffel Tower “light up” but it all worked out in the end.
I chose to recreate this picture of the eiffel tower because I really wanted to challenge myself. It was a painstaking 4 hours, but it ended up looking pretty good.
I’ve always wanted to go to London.
We had to create an scenic art work. I love the mountains so i decided to make a cabin with the mountains in the background. It is problabley my best piece.
To create this project, I created one half of the building with different shapes that I put together. Then I copied and reflected it to the other side of the page so that they were identical. After, I joined the two pieces together and added final details.

Computer Graphics- Second Semester
I designed these balloons after watching Up.
I created balloons and their string while using the shapes and brush tool.
Using the gradience tool, I created circular shapes and turned them into flying balloons in the sky. The layer with the clouds was made using the brush tool and the opacity setting.
This is a piece I made using the brush features of photoshop. My main focus, the goldfish and plants, I made using realistic strokes. I made the background appear as if it were being imagined by the goldfish to add a fun element.
This drawing was very time consuming since I had to use many different brushes to get a realistic fur effect, but I had a super fun time creating it!
Recreated a picture from the movie “Call me by Your Name.”
I drew this because I really like astronomy and I like how Saturn has s ring around it.
This simple brush painting of a Toucan is one of my favorite works because I love incorporating animals or wildlife in my artwork. I also had a blast creating many different hues of reds, oranges, yellows and greens for the main piece and background.

For this assignment, I took an image off the internet and pasted it into the document. Then using different kinds of brushes, I drew over the picture to make one of my own. Lastly, I made a background that fit the drawing.

Brainstorming and creating this fun project taught me the most about photoshop while I got used to layers, cropping, and other tools.
With this image in mind, I desaturated the blackberries as the galaxy sky and saturated the fruits so that they will stand out. I purposely found a ginger in the shape of a person.
I love learning about space. SpaceEx fascinates me with their spacecraft, so I decided to draw planets and Elon Musk.
I chose the topic of women in science because I want to go into medicine one day. I feel that women in STEM are greatly under apreciated.
I made this Google Doodle based on national music day (which is June 21, by the way). Music is and has been a large part of my life since I was a kid and I wanted to make something I really enjoyed! I freehand drew everything except for the music notes.
This doodle was to commemorate orangutans, which are a critically endangered species.
By transforming the iconic Google logo into a Libra (zodiac sign) theme, I focus on the key elements and symbols that make a Libra, a Libra. The scales and libra symbol represent the balance and unity a Libra stands for.
No, of course! Everything makes so much sense and no sense in Wonderland! It finally happened; I’m going slightly mad. Oh dear.
I am really proud of the Red and Gold cover I created because I spent at least 4 hours designing and perfecting my idea of “The Grand Illusion.”

I have visited Montreal many times and every time I go, I am always amazed by the beauty and simplicity of the city. There’s so many buildings to explore there and I chose this picture because it showcased its beauty.

I went to Italy last summer and it was so beautiful. I knew it has great scenery and will be a very scenic postcard.

In the second semester I created a winter scene using the brush tool in Adobe Photoshop. I was inspired by the beauty and simplicity of the snow and enhanced my idea using different brush tips, colors, and sizes.
I created a custom converse shoe in Adobe Photoshop by using the posterize effect, layers, RGB mode, and selections. I love converse shoes and I enjoyed being able to make one myself using my imagination and skills in Photoshop.
I found these shoes while looking for a picture for this assignment, and I thought they were cool and would work well with my favorite colors. I’m happy with the effect it had on the laces and soles!
I love the vibe of vintage things as well as pastel colors, so I decided to create a piece of art that included both!

This piece of art was made with an effect called “posterize” to create texture to illustrate a bag of flowers.
This design is like and Andy Warhol painting but with frogs. I chose to make this design because I like frogs.

This was a tribute to citrus fruits done in Andy Warhol’s Pop Art style.
A popart insprired look on my favorite type of dog.
Since cars make great models, I used an old school looking car along with abstract art to depict pop art in the ’90s when bright colors were trending. Cars come in a variety of colors and I was inspired to portray bright and neon cars, since they stand out and are rare to find.
I took an original picture of a mailbox and then desaturated it. After that I made selections to the different shades of black and gray. Once all my selections were saved, I went back and filled them with different colors for each copy of the picture.
This twist on a posterized pop art design with a homemade matcha latte by yours truly, allows the viewer to get creative with their drinks and how they present them. By posterizing and recoloring the drink 4 times, it makes 4 different drinks by just a few simple steps!
This Pop Art assignment was inspired by Pop Art from the 50’s and comic books alike. I had lots of fun creating a unique image of contrasting Hibiscus flowers.

This is an editorial illustration about young people’s dependency on technology. The image depicts an iPhone as an IV bag which seemingly provides sustenance to the subject.
This artwork was inspired by an eloquent bedside that was created with a variety of brush types to depict a realistic image.
This image portrays the feeling of bleak impending doom that threatens our environment.
I created this lake to look peaceful, mystical, and inviting. The dark blues, greens, browns, and blacks help create these lovely moods.
You never know what’s going on behind closed doors. Check in with loved ones and make sure they aren’t alone in the dark; if you feel like the darkness is consuming you, rely on someone to share some light. You are not alone.
